HISTORY

Sid-Mar's was established in 1967 by Sidney and Marion Burgess. Sid-Mar's was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. After four long years, we have decided that we will never be able to get back to our former site in Bucktown. Sid-Mar's will continue to serve the same great seafood, po-boys, and gumbo that New Orleans loved. Marion will be back and working in the place that her and her husband started. Sidney Burgess, Jr, (Kent) will start his 30 th year in the restaurant business. Kent, along with his wife Tina and two sons, Justin and Zachary will continue the tradition of Sid-Mar's for many years to come. Come back and enjoy a little bit of Bucktown.
